I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!
I put in pieces of different things I've written...and got back a different author every time. Now I know what's wrong with me!
That's what Dobbs found out also and the reason I stopped while I was ahead.
While noone write like a author who we don't like :P
I think the variation in selections is key, writers styles change when writing on different topics. My writing changes when I switch from fiction to non-fiction.Though I can't complain writing like Margaret Atwood for my fiction.
I saw this link on Facebook (via Natasha F) and I popped in the first two paragraphs of a new story called "Dandelion Tears".Said I was Stephen King as well.I suggest you start to be very, very, very afraid.
Deka, Yeah imagine Edward Bulwer-Lytton pops up. Barbara, No complaints with Margaret Atwood either. The Handmaid's Tale is brilliance personified.G, You should check out Dobb's link. He had Joyce, Swift, and Chandler.(And Stephen K is the one who should be shaking.)
For example, David. Or the Mysterious Being who write the Shampoo ads.
Just did it. I'm Stephen King as well. I was hoping for Ray Bradbury man.
Seems like as a publishing gimmick it works.James
I write like Kurt Vonnegut. Yay! Although I wonder who I'd get nesxt if I used some other ms.
I was a little insulted when it said "Dear Abbey."
Deka, Now there's some real talent in those ads. :)Charles, I bet there's alot of us SK kids out thre.James, Certainly true though I didn't venture any farther on their site but I'm betting many others did.Leah, Keep trying and join our club.Austin, Yeah, that would smart.
Congratulations! :)I got Cory Doctorow and William Gibson on two different bits of writing, but I'm not familiar with either of them.p.s. I was rather startled to see my book cover on your site.
Don't be startled. I'm enjoying my first romance book. I'm two chapters in and enjoying.
