This silhouette is based on a photograph of a foam cut-out traced when I was in first grade. I remember each student went behind a curtain so the other kids couldn't see and our image was projected on a wall and traced. After, the class tried to guess who was who. My hair always shot straight out and was a dead giveaway.
PFF is the creation of Leah J. Utas.
Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.

Cool! Were you a fan of Travolta in Grease?? :-)
Ha. I may have had a faint idea who he was but you would have to ask my mom about the hair. I bet she did a one comb over before I walked out the door. Fixing my hair was of little interest. That year everything was The Six Million Dollar Man and year one of Star Wars.
We need an update to compare them.
What a great reminder of your childhood.
Both brave and distinctive. My first-grade profile would have had horns. Always tempting corporal punishment.
I was like Ron, a little hellion. I believe it was four visits to the principal's office to get acquainted with the paddle that finally broke me from acting out and my conduct grades were superb after that.
Dave, Today: A chubbier profile with lots more hair.
Leah, Retro-cool is in, right?
Naomi, Thanks to mom, still hanging around.
Ron/Randy, Yeah, I was the opposite: Disgustedly, squeaky clean.
Welcome back, Peter Pan.
That does not make me think of you.
I like that hair, but the profile of your features is so sweet. I bet you were a nice kid. :)
That is so cool David!
Diane, But I've misplaced my hat!
Charles, Once upon a long ago.
Alyssa, A momma's boy if there ever was one.
Thanks Reb.
What a cutie.
Ah, shucks. Thanks Patti.
Cute! I remember an art project like that at my elementary school too, but my kids never did that. Computers and digital cameras reduce the magic. Happy July 4th weekend!
"Computers and digital cameras reduce the magic." That's really sad isn't it? I remember being very excited by this activity in school.
