Oscar, He's an awesome storyteller when he hits his mark which is often. He's written several hardboiled novels that you may enjoy if the horror/fantasy is a turnoff.

saw a huge offering of all these books in the bookstore the other day. I guess the excitement of the TV series is reigniting interest
