Many Come But...

Most of my Blogger posts still generate a few hundred visits and depending on the topic a few thousand often stop by. One thing that has never changed, in the decade I've been perched here, is the number that leave comments which is normally less than other social networking sites. I'm surprised that Blogger hasn't updated their platform to something similar to Facebook, Instagram, etc. Make it less of a hassle and more inviting for comments. I realize Blogging is considered dated but I still enjoy this corner of the world and have met most of my enduring online friends here.

Anyway, there's my random Tuesday morning thought.

It would surprise me if they did.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers David, good for you 😃

I doubt any of the platforms will make much headway regarding comments, there are Facebook plugins and alternatives that are supposed to make it easier but in reality you still need to be logged in somewhere to make those work. I think it's about as refined as it's going to get.

Never quite sure what to do. Take a break - then start to think I should have blogged something. Blogging is something that can't be done effectively on Facebook - but it would be nice if blogger had a 'like' button though

Oscar, Yepper.

tontowilliams, I know you are probably right but it's a shame.

Ray, a 'like' button would be very helpful. Many people that wouldn't normally comment would find the finger strength to like a post.

I do know that you can format your post layout so that they can be shared on other sites (I've had a few of my posts shared on Google+). but for commenting, I think this about as good as its going to get.
