Put me down as a fan. Haven't seen anything with Keaton for quite a while, but I sure enjoyed his films that I saw.
Don't know that I'm a huge fan but he sure has name recognition for me.
David, I haven't seen Buster Keaton films for a while now. I rate him above Charles Chaplin and below Laurel & Hardy, an absolute favourite with the family. Marx Brothers would probably come in third.
Buster Keaton is the top in silent comedy, with Harold Lloyd a close second.
The Boxer was a totally hilarious film. Keaton was an excellent director as well as actor. And he was known for something else: when he was a kid he was "picked up" from a 2nd story window by a tornado & deposited-unhurt-in a different area!
Elgin, I'm just the opposite with Lloyd a close second. But, as they say, I'd hate to live on the difference.Barry, I had not heard that story. What a life he lead!
