Walt Longmire and his posse returns tonight on A&E and I will be reviewing (under my pen name Edward A. Grainger) the new season for Criminal Element. If you are already a fan I hope you join me each week for a recap and if you are new to this top rated program I hope you jump onboard.

Oh, this'll be fun! We wait 9 month for a short summer season. Love Longmire.
Very good, Scott. I'm looking forward to your take. First episode is called "The White Warrior" and picks up immediately after the events of last year's cliffhanger.
David, I don't think LONGMIRE has come to Indian television yet, so I'll be reading your recap to know what it's all about.
Ok, Prashant. There are other outlets to watch the show. Not sure of all of them but I originally watched seasons 1 & 2on Amazon Prime.
Looking forward to the new season. Haven't read any of the books yet, though I do have the first.
Will you be comparing the books (which I much prefer) to the television show or will this new deal be strictly about the television show?
You're in for a treat, Randy. Just so you know, it's the kind of show where you don't need to have read the books first.
Kevin, I'm mostly reviewing season three of the show but have read all of Craig Johnson's books (save the newest) and will sprinkle in any comparison's if its called for.
I doubt if it will be called for that much considering how they have gone far away for the excellent books. Should be interesting.
Sounds interesting, but I always have problems with "edgy" series on regular t.v.
For me, to do an "edgy" series right, you really have to do it on pay cable.
Anywhere else, and it becomes a pale imitation of what it could've been.
Still love to have you over there commenting, Kevin. If you are game.
Same goes for you, G.B. Having some critical dissenting opinions in the comments section would be helpful. Though, I suspect, you may like the show.
Thank you for the offer/invitation.
I figured I would like this quite a bit but it never seems to be on when I have time to watch TV so I haven't caught it.
Tonight's the night, Charles. And the link above goes to A&E where they have a season 2 recap that catches you up.
And, if you have A&E, they are running a mini-marathon (or complete marathon) of season two this afternoon.
Thanks, Scott. I should have mentioned that. And a very good way to spend a Monday afternoon when one should be working.
Missed Season Two but will give it a try. My main gripe with it is that they try to cram too much plot into 40 minutes. Hope they've fixed it. The books have time to develop the stories which forty minutes does not.
Patti, I'm seeing that Kevin, in the above comment, has a similar feeling. I didn't have the same issues (and I love Craig's books)and really appreciate the tight plot lines and REALLY fine acting. Especially Robert Taylor in the lead but even small parts like Ferg and Mathias shine.
