I became a fan of Orbison's music around the time of Blue Velvet or just after. When he became a Traveling Wilbury and all that madness that followed. And I agree the dream-like images from Velvet fit perfectly here.
I love Roy's music, but I will never be able to get beyond the first time me and my buddy in high school saw him for the first time, and both pointed and simultaneously yelled, "Doctor Octopus!" and then about died laughing. That's a Spiderman reference, for those of you of less geekishly-bent minds. . . .

I'm not a fan generally of slow music, but I make an exception for Orbison. Good stuff.
He had a moody, intense sound that just works.
