A Word of Thanks

I want to thank everyone who has purchased a copy of Adventures of Cash Laramie and Gideon Miles and especially those who took the time to do a review. The support from the writing community has been nothing short of exceptional.

For the past two weeks, Adventures has been on Amazon’s Top 100 westerns and quite often in the top twenty. As I said in a recent post, I’m humbled to be hanging out with McMurtry, L'Amour, and, good lord, Elmore Leonard!

I received an e-mail from a new Cash & Miles fan (that’s another first for me) who asked if there were other stories and where he could find them. Well, the success of this first collection has spurred me on to release the remaining short stories in the months to come. It will probably be the same approach with five previously released adventures with two new ones.

While waiting for that next collection, Cash will be in Crimefactory, Gideon Miles will be in the forthcoming Western Fictioneers eBook, and another tale of the outlaw marshal written with Chuck Tyrell will be at the next Wild West eMonday.

But for now... thank you, folks.

You make me feel guilty now. Congrats on it, mate. I'm sure your next one will be a success too. I've read a few and they are great pieces of writing!

That was my goal, Dave. To make the remaining folks feel guilty. :)

Oh good, a new book coming. I can hardly wait. I'm greedy that way.

I still have to read the last two stories, then I'll put a review up at NMC. I'm in the middle of a workshop where I sit all day with a group of the most creative people I know, teachers, and discuss strategies for teaching writing to young people.

Randy, I have some more Cash and Miles surprises in store for 2012. Big surprises. Can't wait to sing about it.

I'm looking forward to your review, Alec. And also the return of a certain kid outlaw. I know that is going to be a winner.

That's great news, David. Congrats. I downloaded the Kindle app on my phone just so I could buy this collection. I'm looking forward to reading more Cash and Miles stories in the future.

Charles, I can't stop Cash & Miles. Powerhouse duo has no limits.

Matthew, I appreciate that, sir. And I plan on being back at The Western Online before year's end. I have something good but I'm a slow one. :)
