A friend of mine is just discovering Marilyn (she's reading Joyce Carol Oates' book on her). It's given me a chance to go back and revisit her movies and catch up on a few I hadn't seen before, like Niagara. I really liked that one.
NIAGRA was the first MM film I saw. She was good and so was Joseph Cotten. Kinda/sorta a forgotten classic. My favorite remains the comedy SOME LIKE IT HOT. And I can never turn away from THE MISFITS. It's a little boring but knowing that was it for her and Gable keeps me glued everytime.

And I'll bet you she still would have made men drool like idiots every time she floated down the street...
Yeah because Raquel and Sophia are still keeping it together.

I saw Niagra not to long ago. She looked pretty good in that hot dress.
She was working that dress for sure. Classic.
The small roles in early films are a pleasure, where she just pops up without fanfare, as in ALL ABOUT EVE.
She became way famous. Was there anybody in the 20th century bigger as far as actors? Valentiono maybe.
I like those early roles too, Ron.
