I'm enjoying this season of
Archer. Funny scenes abound like a parody of the classic
Magnum, P.I. episode "Did You See the Sunrise" or Sterling Archer dressing like Burt Reynolds from
White Lightning and blowing out the engine of a stolen airboat. Anybody else watching? Like it? Hate it?

Love it! My husband and I have a standing date to watch it. "Terms of enragement."
Same here, Chudney. Though we watch it on Hulu because the baby's schedule is different from ours. :)
That's going to be true for another few years. :) Hulu is awesome.
Freakin love it. Hilarious. John Benjamin is great on this show, as he was on the legendary Home Movies.
There are also a number of people from Arrested Development--and it shows in its similarly zany sense of humor.
Chudney, So true and fine with me... I may have to spring for Hulu Plus though.
Chris, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT was the last show d and I watched with religious fever. I'm still hoping for a movie but I'm afraid George Michael is way big for his britches these days.
Ha! Yeah, George Micheal grew up quick, eh? A brilliant show. I keep hearing about the movie too. I wish Fox had just kept it on the air. They lose all of their good shows. Except for The Simpsons, which they kept way past its expiration date.
I like ARCHER, and like the cast even better than I do the show (Judy Greer not visible behind a dumpy social-reject character is Just Wrong)...some fine setups there, if sometimes too many obvious jokes.
Among the animated series ongoing, only THE VENTURE BROS and perhaps one or two other Adult Swim series can touch it at the moment. Better than the previous effort from these guys, FRISKY DINGO, which didn't quite shuffle its elements as well.
In a sense, this, too is a Fox show.
Chris, I know those writers/producers are clever enough to work around Michael Cera’s character. Another part of the problem is everyone is busy. Bateman is making films and Jessica Walters and Will Arnett are busy in television.
Todd, Ms. Greer as Kitty Sanchez on ARRESTED was a great part and I remember her voice from various characters on FAMILY GUY. I agree she is quite a talent.
I love the way VENTURE tips their hat to Johnny Quest which was a favorite of my childhood.
Haven't caught it yet, though I've seen the ads. I did my review of Beat to a Pulp over at Goodreads btw. Will post it on my blog at some point.
Thanks, Charles. You have to be a member there?
I keep flying by it without knowing what it is. Will check it out.
I'd heard good reviews, then found out it was a 'comic.' I doubt I'd get the references anyway. But I'm glad you're enjoying it. (Don't let the little charmer watch that!)
Patti, It took me a few viewings to really appreciate it. At first it seemed like more shouting than funny.
Alyssa, Nothing but Pooh Bear for the first thirty-five years or so.
