Larry D. Sweazy

My first Josiah Wolfe novel and I'm an instant fan of this Spur award-winning author. Johnny D. Boggs says it best, "...a thundering testament to just how good the Western novel can be." Amen.

You bet, Larry.

THE BADGER'S REVENGE was one of the finest (and quickest) reads I have had in 2011. A real pleasure.

I have this and The Rattlesnake Season though I haven't read them yet. I did like the one I won, The Scorpion Trail, a good one, which caused me to buy the others.

I'm in the mood for a good western novel after watching True Grit last night.

Great cover. I'll have to check this one out. I'm almost done with Redemption, Kansas.

Randy, I will be reading more Sweazy from this moment forward. I'm humbled I'm in the WF with him. I must be quiet though or that group will get smart and kick me out.

Dan, THE BADGER'S REVENGE is for you.

Charles, I'm finishing up REDEMPTION myself. I feel JR is on par with his earlier DUST DEVILS. Damn fine.

David, You're a fine addition to WF, and we're glad to have you.

Yeah, it may be that Mayo we may have to give the boot. He hasn't come up with a western in awhile.

An endorsement by Johnny Boggs gets my vote...

It's good to hear so many people are digging Larry Sweazy's novels. They are indeed among the finest Westerns I've ever read. They have everything you could want--and more. Top-shelf storytelling. It'll be a smart Hollywood person who snaps up the film rights to the Josiah Wolfe saga.

Heya, David ... I have it on good authority that Mayo's working on two Westerns at present, and just turned in a non-fiction manuscript about prospecting in the Old West. And he has a half-dozen Western shorts coming out in anthos over the next few months.

Or he's full of lies and frijoles....

Matty P. (Mayo) was working on a western the last time I talked to him, so it hopefully we won't have to wait too long...

I second that. Mayo lies. But he lies good.

And thanks, Matt, I appreciate your enthusiasm for Josiah...

I really never doubted you, Matt. NOT for a second.

"...frijoles." Ha.
