Photo-Finish Friday -- Montpelier

Little d and I visited James Madison's Montpelier in 2007 when the founding father's home was being restored. This room was where some of the Bill of Rights was written.

PFF is the creation of Leah J. Utas.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'd say that's got to be the most sacred place in this country!

Very interesting web site you linked to. I like it when old buildings are restored.

Very nice, David. But WHERE ARE THE BABY PICTURES??? :)

Cool pic, David. Interesting site as well. It's always good to learn something new!

Leah, Amen.

AC, This will sound cliche (because it is) but the air was heavy with history.

Reb, I do too and Denise and I enjoy visiting as many projects/museums like this as possible.

Alyssa, Well I take thousands a day (I'm outta control!) but am reluctant to post her image on the web. But I am still waiting for the hospital shots to arrive which include a few like me holding her feet and Denise grasping her tiny hands. So those pretty soon, I hope.

David, We love history around this house.

When I visited Virginia in '94, that's the one place I missed. When I return, it'll likely be the place I visit first. Madison is such an interesting Founding Father, for where he was in 1787 and where he ended up, the last surviving FF.

Charles, Coolio. Are the kids still saying that? I'm so out of touch.

Scott, There is so much to see in that area. I managed to hit the big three: Washington, Madison, and Jefferson. But my favorite (and fave FF) was Adams in Mass.

Haven't made it out that way as a tourist yet, but one day I will.

Covering history of the West over here. Glad to see you covering the East.

Seeing where some history occurred is a great experience, and humbling.

I should have thought of that... I was just excited to see a picture of her!

Chris, And I need to spend more vacation time in your neck of the woods.

Ron, Who is doing the lifting in the middle?

Barbara, It is indeed a heavy experience.

Alyssa, Stand-by. I will send some to your e-mail. I'm a proud papa...
