I've finished reading
MURDER IN THE AIR.
Publishers Weekly says, "Few will be able to resist Crider's brand of broad humor, eccentric characters, and murder." I wholeheartedly agree. Mr. Crider delivers another thoroughly entertaining mystery in the Sheriff Dan Rhodes series. Highlight for me was Rhodes stumbling ass-backwards into a rock pit that has been converted into a pond, discovers a clue, and then unintentionally becomes involved in a little episode known as noodling. Top fun and a fine read.

Thanks, David! As I always say, the sheriff and I need all the help we can get.
I'm always looking for a good mystery, and a funny one is even better! Thanks for the suggestion.
Ha. I doubt that. You are on quite a roll with this series.
Alyssa, You bet. I know you will enjoy it.
great disturbing cover art!
Warm Aloha from Waikiki :)

Oh, the strange art of noodling. The story must take place in the South. -James Marple
Cloudia, It's more amusing to me but I guess you could go with disturbing.
James, I checked the sometimes reliable Wikipedia and places as far away as Elbow, Saskatchewan and Nigeria have caught the Noodling bug.
Don't you feel totally at home in his world. Even girls from Detroit.
Great cover design, too!
Patti, Yeah, I know what you mean. Everyone wants a Sheriff Dan looking out for them. And colorful characters abound in this mystery that Rhodes has to wade through.
Dave, Eye-catching indeed. I'm wondering now who did it?
I may be biased as I've known Bill for over 30 years - and one of the Sheriff Rhodes books was dedicated to me - but as a totally non-objective observer you can't go wrong with any of the books in this series.
The humor is sly, Alyssa, but always there - sometimes almost slapstick and sometimes more subtle (as in naming his dog).
Great stuff.
Jeff
After reading the above comments, David, I'm now going to add these book to my ever growing pile of books to buy.
Thanks, man, and have a great day!
I have a Crider book on the way!
Jeff, I haven't read the earlier ones and am looking forward to how the series started.
David, You will become an instant fan.
Charles, I have another in the wings as well.
The plot sounds fun-filled which I could go for now.
