"'Round Midnight" was written by Monk around 1944 I believe. The most recorded song in all of Jazz.
Monk was certainly a character wasn't he? Sharp sounding music just the same.--Nina
Theories abound about his eccentric personality and possible mental illness. It seems like he had anything from manic depression to schizophrenia.
