Timerider

James Reasoner mentioned this film today and I remember it was the action film of the moment for us twelve-year-olds. I just may have to watch it again. It looks dated but in a good way, if that makes any sense.

Man does that take me back: The Adventure of Lyle Swan, right?

David Cranmer said...

Yeah, I'm remembering that Lyle Swan was part of the title and I'm betting they were planning on a sequel.

That girl (who is she again?) who asks Ward to take off his clothes was also the talk on the bus.

never heard of it. and i was sober then!

Don, Just looked it up and her name is Belinda Bauer. I remember her from the pilot of Airwolf where Stringfellow Hawke races to save her as she's left to die in the desert.

Paul, Too funny.

I remember watching this on HBO when I was a kid. Then we had a copy on BETA and I wore that out, but geesh, I haven't seen it this in at least twenty years.

How in the world did I miss this one?

Kieran, That announcer was named Don LaFontaine and passed away last year at 68.

Diane, Yes you would not be a fan of this one.

Felix, I had forgotten all about it myself and probably for good reason. But some movies like this and Time Bandits, Red Dawn etc must be revisited every now and again. Hey, thanks for stopping by and I will check out your blog soon.

Charles, You would enjoy it and at the very least get a laugh or two.
