Here are two pictures of Ava and me on an Amtrak train from New
York to Chicago. My second trip on the rails, her first, and we’re having a
blast. As a bonus for me, there are all kinds of characters on board. Two novels
worth in the waiting.
Took the family to Disneyland 2 yrs. ago via Amtrak. We stopped at the historic Union Station, which, I'm reliably told, still looks pretty much like it did in the 30's and 40's. And you're absolutely right, it was characters all the way . . .
Excellent photos. A train is a rolling adventure. Love the feel of its movement and the passing landscape. Great to share with someone.
ReplyDeletevery cool
ReplyDeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Don't you just love people watching?
ReplyDeleteExtraordinary experience, Ron. Someone SHOULD pay me to ride trains and write stories. I could spend twenty years doing it.
ReplyDeleteSteve/Randy, Great moment for both of us.
Chudney, Absolutely! Like I told Ron I could ride trains and write about travelers. Endless supply of tales.
She's a real little poppet. I'd love to go that train.

ReplyDeleteLots of fun, Dave.
ReplyDeleteUnion Station! Yeah. Spend a day there with a keyboard and a camera, Garn.
Happy trails, David.
ReplyDeleteI love trains. There is nothing quite like them. Wish we could travel by train more often in the midwest.
