A co-worker made these meatballs which were fantastico. Never had them before and I'm hooked. My charmer says she's heard of a similar recipe. I thought I'd share.
2 tbs Grape Jelly
2 tbs Brown Sugar
1 cup Ketchup
1/2 tsp Chili Powder (to taste)
Costco pre-cooked meatballs
Mix first four ingredients together to make sauce. Place meatballs in sauce until thawed.
Place meatballs in slow cooker to let flavors combine.
This seems cheaper and similar to the raspberry chipotle meatballs I've had using Costco's bottled sauce. I bet they taste just as good, too! spice and sweet are gooood!
ReplyDeleteYeah they are a big thing up here in Nova Scotia. Someone has them at almost every potluck.
ReplyDeleteThose sound awfully darned good.
ReplyDeleteMy Mother in law has a similar recipe. Now I'll have to convince to make me some.
ReplyDeleteegads it sounds absolutely awful. Jelly!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing at first, Charles. You just have to try them.
