Merry Christmas

For those who celebrate, Denise and I wish you a Merry Christmas. We're spending the weekend dogsitting. Just John the Bassett Hound and Charlie, a golden doodle, and us, thinking of how everything will change in such a wonderful way next year.

Here's my favorite traditional Christmas song performed by Bob Seger.

  3. Thanks again, David.

It was a pleasure making your acquaintance this year (or has it been longer?) and enjoy the many stories you wrote and I enjoyed reading. Merry Christmas!

  4. Just heard this song by Ray Charles on a trip down to Vons for some last minute Christmas groceries and "cheer."

It's been great getting to know you this year, and I look forward to all the events that lie ahead for you in the months that come. You will share, or course...

  8. David: Here's to wishing you, Denise and the eventual addition to the happy family, a very Merry Christmas.

And speaking as the father of soon to be 10 year old daughter, you are so doomed. :D

  9. Thanks, Naomi. Your reviews of so many books in 2010 was appreciated as well as your support of BEAT to a PULP. Happy Holidays!

Gracias, Oscar. I hope Santa stops by your house. NORAD is tracking him over Amsterdam at the moment.

G, Oh, I know. :) But I can't wait. Have a top weekend, my friend.

  12. Ah, Little Drummer Boy. This is, to me, the one song that Chicago really nailed. It is their version that I want to hear and it is their horn lines I "hear" whenever I listen to another version. Segar's version was my favorite until Chicago's. Here's a live version, not as good as the studio one, but you take what you can get for free on the internet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMRnBP5nF8I

  14. Evan, The vid is just ok to me but those vocals seal the deal.

Scott, That is a fantastic version by Chicago. No two ways about it.

And thanks for all the help on "Melanie" this week. Between you and my wife, you made Edward A. Grainger look good.

AC, Thanks and thank you for All Due Respect in 2010. The crime fiction world needed this kick in the ass.

Merry Christmas, Alan! And I hope you have another successful writing year in 2011.

  18. Thanks, Barbara. Wish you and your family all the best.

G, You originally asked me about Barnes and Noble (I thought) and it is featured in some of their brick and mortar stores and (cheaper) through their online site. It will be available through Kindle soon but I'm thinking you want the beautiful print package. I hope that helps.

    Thanks, Reb!

  19. I did, but for Christmas today I wound up with a gift card from Borders.

Go figure. I mention to the wife and family that B&N or Amazon would be nice and that Borders was a very distant third.

Oh well. We shall keep on trying to find a way to get my hands on a copy.

    I am if anything, stubborn.

Hopefully there will be a Round Two and Three.

    Once again, Merry Christmas!
