I thoroughly enjoyed Charles Allen Gramlich's KILLING TRAIL that is published via Amazon’s ebook program, and via Razored Zen Press.
PFF is the creation of Leah J. Utas.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Oh, and don't forget we have best selling author Dave Zeltserman in BEAT to a PULP this weekend. Cheers!
Looking forward to Z. and I have Charles' KILLING TRAIL on my Kindle for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so relaxing.
ReplyDeletei have no kindle. i am weird?
ReplyDeleteRich, I'm hoping other western writers will put out short story collections.
ReplyDeleteLeah, The moment never lasts long.
Deka, Not at all. Wait for the next incarnation.
How 'ya liking the tech?

I've never looked close at a Kindle, and never wanted to, but someone told me the other day that it's NOT backlit like a computer, and therefore not an eyeburner. NOW I'm interested (a little).
ReplyDeleteOh, I want one of those...or the Sony one. Just as soon as I win the lotto with the ticket I never buy!
ReplyDeletesertech, I do, I do. No complaints thus far but I primarily use it for traveling. Print remains #1 in my world. But that's another post I've promised.
ReplyDeleteCloudia, A ham, right?
Evan, No eyeburner and easy to read but like a book it's in b&w, that's why the iPad is getting all the attention especially for graphic novel aficionados .
Reb, I haven't checked my lottery ticket this morning but if I win $72 mil. Not a problem.
Cool! I'm still unsure about those. Would you still not rather have a book in your hand? What happens if you get to a really exciting part and your battery goes? I love technology but....one day, who knows.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, mate.
I would always prefer a print book. But for my extensive traveling, the Kindle is ideal. I mainly load biographies and issues of magazines I missed in the store.
ReplyDeleteWhat are some of the bios? Any to rec?
ReplyDeleteTim Spaulding
The new Highsmith bio is an extraordinary tour de force by Joan Schenkar. Plus I finally got around to reading King's On Writing which is as insightful as you would imagine.
ReplyDeleteThanks, David. glad you enjoyed. I took the Kindle with me to Arkansas and let it read one story to me. It was cool.
ReplyDeleteCharles, I hope more western writers will follow your lead and release collections.
ReplyDeleteTim, I find her best work to be the short stories she wrote for EQMM.
I'm not sure if I have Kindle-envy or not. :) Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, Have you coined a new phrase? Kindle-envy. Trademark it now!
ReplyDeleteDavid,
ReplyDeleteI have to second King's "On Writing" as being insightful; I can also testify that the query letter he put in the book works very well. :)
