Laurie, Very scenic part of the coutry and well worth it.
Charles, You know, I never got that feeling but I will say Harpers Ferry is like a little time capsule. (kinda like a Twilight Zone episode.) One steps back to 1859 very easily.
cassandrajade, You bet and thanks for stopping by.
I'm a little less than a month away from driving out to the Little Bighorn Battlefield. I've been by it several times but never stopped. Going to make it happen this year; I'm really looking forward to it.
Oh I love this - I've never seen it. I love visiting these sites.
ReplyDeleteyes, I'd like to walk in that place. I bet it would feel haunted even if it weren't.
ReplyDeleteIt would be an interesting place to look around. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, eerie photo. I can hear the ghosts.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, would love to visit there as well.
ReplyDeleteIs that part of the actual armory?
ReplyDeleteLeah, I've found that my opinion of John Brown has changed quite considerably since grade school.
ReplyDeleteChris, Incredibly scenic place and hot as he double hockey sticks the day we visited.
Evan, I believe that was the remains of a church. Definitely not the armory.
I can't imagine how much hard labor those people must have spent to build these! Spectacular!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the old castles in my country. I love the scenic flavour of the old stone buildings.
ReplyDeleteRedbush, They certainly were built to last.
ReplyDeleteDeka, I'm sure it can't hold a candle to the castles in your land.
Thank you for stopping by The Education of a Pulp Writer.
I love that photo, David! Looks like a place I would totally enjoy visiting... unless there are spiders. Are there spiders? I hate spiders *shudder*
ReplyDeletevery cool....on ACID!

the Bag Lady, No worse than anywhere else and there is plenty of sidewalks and a nice cafe, gift shops etc. You'd love it.
ReplyDeleteCloudia, Hm. I'm not sure about a response. You got me tongue tied. :)
Lovely photo, taken at a great angle. I love historic spots.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Give me a tour of a park, battlefield, etc and I'm set.
