I was surfing the net and stumbled across your blog. There were numerous Black cowboys and cowgirls of the old west. A historian named William Loren Katz researched a lot of this information including providing photos. Visit blackcowboys.com and theblackwest.com. Also, the Buffalo soldiers contributed to a valuable part of the settling of the southwest. I have an older friend whose grandfather was a Black sheriff in the 1800s. She has a photograph of him dressed as such. Also, you can visit the black cowboy museums online.
--Gwandine Black Cherokee Cowgirl.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401124973760279564.post-90435517541799775492011-07-24T14:22:26.598-04:002011-07-24T14:22:26.598-04:00Britt, I appreciate you stopping by and I will che...Britt, I appreciate you stopping by and I will check out your link.David Cranmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04749857752139212888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401124973760279564.post-16735286509029519882011-07-21T08:47:45.614-04:002011-07-21T08:47:45.614-04:00The first Black character to have his own comic bo...The first Black character to have his own comic book was a cowboy!
Though not a lawman, he fought for justice!
http://heroheroinehistory.blogspot.com/2011/02/lobo-1-saga-begins.htmlBritt Reidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07245579677452948620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401124973760279564.post-3104093197075777902011-07-17T07:29:19.888-04:002011-07-17T07:29:19.888-04:00G, What is the good old days to one group may be h...G, What is the good old days to one group may be hell to another.
